My second method was notetaking. I observed my chosen bench from a distance, recording who sat there and what they were doing. This allowed me to explore how different people used the same space and how their behaviour changed throughout the observation.
I noticed that when someone was sitting alone on the bench, no one else sat beside them. I also observed that the pond attracted little attention from passers-by, except for children and dogs. These observations made me think about how people interact with public spaces and the unspoken boundaries between strangers.
